  • Functional Assessments, Cognitive Assessments, Allens Cognitive Level Screen and Occupational Therapy Report Writing

    Course Aim: to develop skills in delivering robust occupational therapy assessments and reports for occupational therapists working with adults in acute, rehab or community settings in physical and mental health.

    A course, suitable for occupational therapists from physical and mental health settings. On completing functional assessments, cognitive assessments, teaching of the Allen's Cognitive Level screen, then combining this information into coherent and robust occupational therapy reports. Report templates and case examples are reviewed to integrate knowledge to strengthen clinical practice.

    • The Allen’s Cognitive Disability Model – its history from Claudia Allen, Allen’s Cognitive Levels, literature review to different populations

    • Administering and applying the Allen’s Cognitive Level Screento ascertain persons’ occupational capabilities.

    • Putting it all together: Completing robust occupational therapy reports and recommendations from your assessment findings

    This two-day course is for occupational therapists at any career stage working in the field of Older Person’s Mental Health. The intent is to build a robust occupational therapy focus in assessment and treatment of older persons with depression, dementia, anxiety, bipolar affective disorder and other conditions that can impact elders’ daily life.

    The course offers a balance of up-to-date clinical evidence, practical strategies, and case examples to strengthen your ability to work effectively with older adults and their families.

  • An invoice will be sent out 2-2.5 months before the course starts.

  • Payment can be made by Interbank transfer (email us for details and SWIFT No). A receipt will be sent.

  • A final email will be sent out with course details, three weeks before the course starts.
